Animal Planet sponsors the Rose City Classic. On Saturday night Animal Planet films the variety groups and Best in Show competition for later telecast.

Banfield the Pet Hospital sponsors the Rose City Classic annual student art contest. The contest theme promotes responsible dog ownership and the human-canine bond. This year's theme is Magical Dogs.

Community Support
For several years volunteers from the the Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW have worked for the Rose City Classic. These dedicated volunteers use the opportunity to raise money for the humane society. In the process, they make the Rose City Classic sparkle! We appreciate their outstanding work.

A message from the HSSW: The Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW) is excited to be a part of the Rose City Classic Dog Show again this year.  We take great pride in keeping the Portland Expo Center clean during the event.

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington is a nonprofit organization established in 1897.  The mission of HSSW is the relief of suffering among animals, the prevention of cruelty to animals and the extension of humane education. It serves the rapidly expanding areas of southwest Washington including Clark, Cowlitz and Skamania counties.

Just a few of the Humane Society’s programs include Read to the Dogs, Pet Therapy Dogs, Safe Haven Project Click!, and a pet loss support group. Last year HSSW cared for over 13,500 orphaned animals at its shelter.

For more information  about the Humane Society for Southwest Washington visit their website at www.southwesthumane.org, or stop by the shelter at 2121 St. Francis Lane in Vancouver call 360-693-4746.

The Rose City Classic appreciates the support of Absolutely Magic Dog Training in providing the Canine Good Citizen Test at our Friday show .
