Next January will be here before we know it and so, it is time for specialties to start thinking about and making plans. The dates for the 2007 Rose City Classic shows will be:

Specialty Day is Thursday, January 18
All Breeds Friday, January 19 thru Sunday, January 21

As you may know, the AKC has published the following information in the Gazette:

"Effective January 1, 2007, two independent specialty shows of the same breed of no more than one hundred (100) entries each, inclusive of sweepstakes, special attractions or matches, may be permitted at the same location on the same day."

This would allow your Club to hold a back to back Specialty on Thursday if you meet the above requirements. We have already had clubs express interest in this concept.

There will be a meeting for the Specialty Clubs that are interested in holding their Specialty in conjunction with the RCC weekend. The meeting will be on Saturday, February 25 and is open to ANY Specialty Club interested in holding a Specialty Show (back to back or otherwise) at the 2007 RCC venue. The list of judges available from DFAO that the Specialties may be interested in using will also be available at the meeting.

Where: Red Lion, Jantzen Beach - White Stag Room
Time: 2:30PM
